I developed this type of painting and as far as I know I am the only artist in the US that paints them.

TANGLE PORTRAITS are truly unique and original. No two are alike and they are very personal. They are so personal that I will never reveal the name of the subject or an image of the painting without the prior consent of the subject.(The subjects of the examples you see here have given consent for me to show their portraits.)

TANGLE PORTRAITS are mixed medium on heavy Bristol or Vellum paper. It is recommended they not be hung in direct sunlight and UV glass used when framing. These paintings require a great deal of research and planning on the part of the artist. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire about the subject and in some cases you will be asked to submit photographs.
